Cancer death rate has now been falling for at least 25 years

Americans’ “cancer death rate has now been falling for at least 25 years, down 27 percent over that period,” driven by lower smoking rates and medical advances. However, “obesity-related cancer deaths are rising and prostate cancer deaths are no longer dropping.”

According to the report, cancer deaths were greatest for men with lung, prostate or colorectal cancer, while they were greatest for women with lung, breast and colorectal cancer.
